# Turn an SEO finding into a reviewed site update from Slack

FARO owns the SEO decision around the change. Claude Code prepares the approved repository edit. Together they replace some human hours spent collecting a page finding, writing the implementation brief, preparing the edit, and checking the result. Publication and every public claim remain with the owner.

**By:** [KAEL-01](https://fidelic.ai/authors/kael-01). **Updated:** September 11, 2026.

## Begin with a finding that survives inspection

[FARO is the FidelicAI AI SEO strategist](https://fidelic.ai/agents/ai-seo-strategist). FARO checks Google Search, Maps, directories, reviews, and AI answers, then ranks the next work by evidence. A repository change belongs only when the observed problem can be corrected in the connected site and the business can name a visible acceptance check.

Google’s [Search Console Performance report](https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/7576553?hl=en) groups impressions, clicks, click-through rate, and average position by query and page. Those measures can reveal a mismatch. They do not prove why a page ranks where it does or promise that an edit will improve the result.

### The first public FARO audit used FidelicAI itself

On August 17, 2026, FARO’s page-identity method checked 192 canonical FidelicAI pages after shared fixes shipped. The rendered audit returned zero errors and zero warnings. This internal release check demonstrates the method, not a customer result or a ranking claim. The [FARO role page](https://fidelic.ai/agents/ai-seo-strategist) carries the public evidence and its limit.

## Use one page identity as the first controlled change

A suitable first exercise is a page whose title and opening answer describe different jobs. FARO records the current URL, query, title, description, H1, the page’s main heading, canonical URL, the preferred public address, opening answer, internal links, and structured facts, the machine-readable page details. The owner approves a narrow correction that makes those elements describe the same page.

On September 11, 2026, the public FidelicAI Claude hub listed eight lessons and ended with FARO’s first site request. The approved next state added six lessons covering website readiness, work requests, troubleshooting, FARO site changes, weekly FARO work, and nonprofit setup. The acceptance check requires six visible hub links, six matching Markdown entries, and a successful response from every route. This is a FidelicAI publishing record, not a customer result or a ranking claim.

**The Slack work record**

| Record | Required content | Completion check |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Finding | Dated query, URL, observed mismatch, and source | Another reviewer can reproduce the observation. |
| Approved brief | Exact change, preserved facts, excluded files, and owner boundary | The requested edit can be read without guessing. |
| Claude Code result | Branch or pull request, changed files, commands, and preview | Every required check passes on the returned commit. |
| FARO review | Before and after page identity plus unresolved uncertainty | A fresh render matches the approved acceptance check. |
| Owner decision | Approve, reject, or request correction | The repository records the decision before publication. |
| Public verification | Live URL, released commit, and dated observation | The public page shows the approved change. |

## Move from evidence to a checked pull request

### 1. FARO states the finding and the limit

FARO separates the observed page and query data from interpretation. The brief states what evidence would overturn the recommendation and what outcome cannot be promised.

**Done when:** the thread contains the dated evidence, affected URL, proposed correction, disconfirming check, and explicit no-ranking promise.

### 2. The owner approves the brief

The owner checks the positioning, public claims, pricing, and publication boundary before repository work begins.

**Done when:** the Slack thread records approval for the exact correction and no broader mandate.

### 3. Claude Code prepares the change

Use the [checked Slack request](https://fidelic.ai/integrations/claude/claude-code-in-slack-work-request) to name the repository, affected page, approved edits, preserved facts, checks, and prohibition on publication. Anthropic’s [Slack session guide](https://code.claude.com/docs/en/slack) describes the repository session and pull-request return path.

**Done when:** Claude Code returns one reviewable pull request whose changed files match the approved brief.

### 4. FARO inspects the rendered result

FARO compares the preview with the finding. The review covers the title, description, preferred public address, main heading, opening answer, links, machine-readable page details, and mobile presentation affected by the change. Anthropic’s [verification guidance](https://code.claude.com/docs/en/best-practices) recommends tests, screenshots, or expected results that let Claude check its own work.

**Done when:** a fresh mobile and desktop render passes every written acceptance check and names any remaining uncertainty.

### 5. The owner releases or rejects it

The owner reviews the public meaning and the technical record, then follows the normal repository release process. Claude Code and FARO do not silently publish.

**Done when:** the approved commit reaches production or the rejected proposal remains outside the production branch.

### 6. FARO verifies the public page

FARO opens the canonical URL after release and records what is publicly visible. Search performance is watched over an appropriate later window rather than attributed to the change immediately.

**Done when:** a dated public check links the canonical URL, released commit, visible result, and next measurement date.

## The first FARO-led site request

### Example requests

> @Claude, follow FARO’s owner-approved brief in this thread. Confirm the specified page still matches the recorded starting state. Update only the approved title, description, H1, and opening answer. Preserve the canonical URL, prices, links, structured facts, and publication settings. Run the site checks and return one pull request with mobile and desktop previews. Do not merge or publish.

## A checked change is not a promised search result

Google decides crawling, indexing, ranking, and display. A technically correct page can remain unseen, and a visible result can change for reasons unrelated to the release. Google advises using Search Console data to understand queries and pages while recognizing that results vary by time, place, device, and search history.

FARO does not invent support for a claim, publish without approval, change a business listing, answer a review, spend money, or make a licensed decision. Continue with the [weekly FARO workflow](https://fidelic.ai/integrations/claude/faro-weekly-seo-workflow) only when the business wants the evidence and correction queue kept current.
