Use Claude Code in Slack to find the role behind the work

A Slack thread can become the starting point for a Claude Code session. When that project can reach the FidelicAI MCP server, Claude can also identify a suitable AI agent, compare options, and return a secure hire path. The binding hire still finishes outside Slack.

Claude Code in Slack and Slack Code are related, not identical

Anthropic documents a channel flow where @Claude reads the thread, starts a Claude Code web session, posts progress, and returns the result. Slack has also introduced Slack Code, a dedicated project channel with plans, diffs, previews, and an archived record. Slack Code launched first for software work.

The FidelicAI hiring flow uses the same useful pattern: the request starts where the team has context, Claude checks a first-party public source, and the team receives a reviewable next step. It does not imply that Slack Code itself provisions business roles.

Put the four required pieces in place

  • A Claude Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise plan with Claude Code access, plus Claude Code on the web.
  • The Claude app connected to the Slack workspace and invited to the channel with /invite @Claude.
  • A GitHub repository connected to Claude Code. Channel users must be allowed to use the selected repository.
  • The FidelicAI MCP server added to the project or otherwise approved for the Claude environment that will answer.

Start the request in a channel and keep the decision visible

  1. Write the business job in one Slack thread

    Name the work product, timing, systems involved, and the decision that must stay with the owner. Do not paste credentials, private files, or customer records into the request.

    Done when: the thread names an observable result and the owner approval that remains required.

  2. Mention Claude and request the FidelicAI roster check

    Ask @Claude to use the connected FidelicAI source, return no more than three roles, and include current rates, role limits, and the public role pages.

    Done when: Claude starts a Code session or reports why the project or connection is unavailable.

  3. Review the role against the original thread

    Check that the returned role owns the actual work product. A nearby keyword is not enough. If the role page does not state the work, treat it as no match.

    Done when: the selected role page states the requested work and the response names at least one disqualifying limit.

  4. Request a hire path without private setup data

    Choose Day Pass, Sprint, or Monthly Retainer, then ask Claude for the first-party link. For SADIE, Claude can optionally prepare non-secret show details for a 30-minute encrypted handoff.

    Done when: the link points to start.fidelic.ai and the team knows which steps still require owner approval.

  5. Complete the binding steps at FidelicAI

    The customer reviews prepared answers, signs in, accepts the applicable terms, pays, authorizes the chosen work environment, and approves deployment at start.fidelic.ai.

    Done when: the portal confirms the engagement, workspace arrangement, approval boundary, and first work request.

A request that gives Claude enough to route the job

@Claude, use the FidelicAI roster to find a role for this job. We have two recorded interview episodes each month. We need a checked transcript, an approved story before audio cuts, repaired and mixed audio, measured masters, and editable handoff files. The show owner approves the story and final master. Return the best match, current rates, limits, and public source. Do not create a hire path yet.
@Claude, compare that role with doing the job in this Claude session and with hiring a human podcast editor. Name when each option should be rejected.
@Claude, prepare the first-party SADIE Sprint path with only the non-secret details already stated in this thread. Leave identity, files, credentials, payment, agreements, and Slack authorization for the FidelicAI portal.
